Product Manager

Responsible for establishing and building an industry-leading product to fulfill and exceed overall corporate objectives. Performs product research, strategic/business planning and requirements definition/prioritization through release. Performs the following duties.

  • + Develop, communicate, and execute overall product strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share and revenue; soliciting involvement and feedback of other corporate groups and ultimately delivering necessary business plans, 12-18 month roadmaps, and detailed written requirements (PRDs)
  • + Research, analyze, monitor, and communicate market trends, customer needs, technologies, and political and policy factors to capitalize on market opportunities, minimize effects of competitive activity, and ultimately assure market leadership
  • + Manage complete product release cycle
  • + Work with engineering and quality assurance to communicate customer needs, adjust requirements based on technical feedback, prioritize requirements, and manage changing priorities
  • + Support sales and marketing efforts through clear communication of customer value proposition in written and presentation form
  • + Establish and maintain a strong relationship with customer facing staff as a key resource to address critical pre- and post-sales customer product issues and ultimately help drive product sales engagements to closure
  • + Maintain high competitive market awareness and deliver documented competitive product feature analysis and strength/weakness positioning
  • + Provide the decision making leadership necessary to drive rapid identification and resolution of issues so the company's high standards for customer responsiveness, time to market, and competitive industry leadership can be met
  • + Employ and develop product planning and management best practices, establishing and executing reliable processes for collecting and prioritizing customer/market requirements
  • + Personally and organizationally maximize market, technology, and product subject matter expertise to assure industry leading product innovation, responsive customer and partner interactions, and delivery top quality presentations at industry events
  • + Exemplify company values, team-orientation, and commitment to excellence, serving as a leader and model for other employees to respect and aspire to
  • + Communicate and collaborate with senior management to ensure that the products respond to market needs, are able to compete, and can support revenue targets
  • + Constructively raise relevant issues and risks to senior management and/or other corporate groups to assure they are addressed quickly
  • + Establish, maintain, and maximize the leverage of relationships with strategic partners and industry influencers
  • + Conduct market and customer surveys on current products and new product concepts and drive necessary changes based on the results of those surveys
