Venafi Systems Management for Encryption
Overview
Venafi is focused on delivering encryption management capabilities across diverse operating systems and infrastructure environments—from the desktop. Venafi products perform continuous encryption discovery, certificate and key monitoring with built-in alerts, automated Certificate Authority (CA) interactions, and automated installation into the certificate-consuming application.
These processes help organizations improve operational efficiency, data security and compliance management. Today, Venafi has two product lines:

Venafi Client Encryption Manager
Regardless of the environment, Venafi products perform four major functional operations:
- Discovery: Allows administrators to identify all keys and certificates automatically, so they can be brought under management.
- Monitoring: Provides comprehensive metrics detailing the state of encryption across all environments, and delivers actionable alerts to key operators and decision makers.
- Enrollment: Facilitates continuous and automatic maintenance of certificates and keys throughout all stages of their lifecycle—from request to renewal or revocation.
- Provisioning: Automatically deploys keys and certificates, and configures applications to use them according to administrator-defined policies.
Venafi Encryption Director™ Product Line
Venafi Encryption Director is a systems management platform that simplifies the lifecycle management of encryption technologies (keys and certificates) across diverse operating systems and infrastructure environments.
The Director product line consists of three products: the Monitoring Edition, the Enrollment Edition and the Provisioning Edition, and each includes licenses for the Enterprise Discovery Services® Engine. Note that the product-line feature sets are additive.
