Venafi™ Encryption Director™ is an enterprise-wide encryption management system that centralizes and automates the management of encryption assets (keys and certificates) throughout the IT infrastructure, across diverse encryption systems, operating environments and applications. Director automates the certificate management and enterprise key management processes necessary to ensure system availability, proper data protection and regulatory compliance, including discovery, monitoring, alerts, lifecycle management and automated application configuration.


Director performs four key processes: continuous encryption discovery, SSL certificate and key monitoring with built-in alerts, automated Certificate Authority (CA) interactions, and automated installation into the certificate-consuming application. These help organizations improve operational efficiency, data security and compliance management.


The Director product line consists of three product editions: the Monitoring Edition, the Enrollment Edition and the Provisioning Edition.
