Venafi has created the first machine identity protection fund

Venafi is investing $12.5 Million to support the development of the machine identity protection ecosystem.

Machine identities are exploding across the Global 5000. Attackers are looking to misuse machine identities and their capabilities every day. Venafi is committed to enabling our customers protect their business-critical applications. In support of this effort, we have created the Machine Identity Protection Development Fund. The Fund will sponsor the development of integrations with the Venafi Platform, accelerating the expansion of the Venafi ecosystem.

Protecting more applications

With machine identity protection built in to more applications—especially DevOps, multi-cloud, mobile, threat protection, and analytics—Venafi customers will be better equipped to secure their organizations and reduce risk.

Who should apply?

Developers—including consultancies, systems integrators, fast moving start-ups, open source developers and cybersecurity vendors—are invited to apply for sponsorship to build integrations that deliver greater visibility, intelligence and automation for Venafi customers across any technology that creates or consumes machine identities.

What can developers expect?

The Fund will prioritize sponsoring developers in emerging technology areas including IoT, AI, code signing and blockchain. With access to Venafi’s Global 5000 customers, sponsored developers can grow their product, service, and consulting revenues. For open source projects, the Fund will accelerate community contributions and collaboration.
